Forty Foot Pictures is a film and television production company set up by producer Collie McCarthy. With a base in London and Dublin, we are working with both emerging and established talent to create engaging audience-focused entertainment. Our award-winning short film work has screened at over 100 festivals worldwide, been IFTA nominated and Academy Award longlisted. The company’s debut feature, Netflix Original I USED TO BE FAMOUS by writer/director Eddie Sternberg, released in September '22 and was the streamer’s 4th most watched film globally in it’s first week, hitting the Top 10 in 68 countries including the UK and US. We have further projects in development with Netflix, Screen Ireland and the BFI.

Collie Mccarthy - PRODUCER

Collie founded Forty Foot Pictures in 2014. He has produced five award-winning short films as well as the company's debut feature I USED TO BE FAMOUS starring Ed Skrein, Eleanor Matsuura and autistic newcomer Leo Long. Commissioned by Netflix UK, the film is executive produced by Damian Jones and Paul Grindey, with original music by London Grammar’s Dan Rothman and Hannah Reid.

Previously, Collie worked at Shoebox Films under producers Paul Webster and Guy Heeley on films such as Joe Wright’s PAN for Warner Bros and BBC Films’ DENIAL starring Rachel Weisz. He also coordinated post production for Working Title on Rowan Atkinson starrer JOHNNY ENGLISH STRIKES AGAIN and Danny Boyle/Richard Curtis’ Beatles-based comedy YESTERDAY among others.

Collie was selected as a Screen International ‘Rising Star’ in 2023 and BIFA-longlisted in the ‘Breakthrough Producer’ category in 2022.

lois gration - DEVELOPMENT EXEC

Lois joined Forty Foot Pictures in 2022 to grow the development slate for both Film and Television. She spent three years with Netflix UK’s Original Series team prior to script coordinating for Judd Apatow on THE BUBBLE and on Apple TV’s MASTERS OF THE AIR directed by Cary Fukunaga. Most recently, Lois script-edited season three of Sky’s hit comedy series CODE 404.
